Update of 2010

Hello friends! It's been quite a long time since I've written anything, so to say I have a lot write about would be an understatement! Also, Sal and I turned our internet off due to lack of use (thanks to our smartphones), therefore I am blogging from my phone. I apologize ahead of time for any mis-spelling, bad grammar and just the general look of the whole thing. To start out, some really tragic things have happened to our family in this past year. The worst of them all my Aunt DeeDee was diagnosed with cancer early this year and lost her fight in May. It was quite a shock to all of us how quickly the cancer took her at the young age of 41. We are all still trying to understand how such a young beautiful person could be taken from us. I know for myself, I think about her everyday. Every song I hear on the radio reminds me of her and I still cry quite often. She is not in pain now though, and I know that she is in a better place. It has definitely made me cherish every moment in my family's journey. Soon after my aunt passed away Elle turned 1 on June 16! I still remember so vividly the day she was born. She has been nothing but a joy ever since. Sal and I are so proud of the little girl she is becoming. She is a free spirit and definitely let's you know what's on her mind. Her first "real" word was easy...which you might think is strange but we always tell her to "be easy" when she is petting our dog Zoe, and she just picked it up from there. The way she says it is absolutely adorable too! She also loves to say "oh toodles" from mickey mouse clubhouse (her favorite show), and when you say "abc", she promptly responds "efg"! She amazes us everyday and we're beyond thrilled to be her parents. Elle is also soon to take on another role; big sister! Sal and I found out in early July that we're expecting another baby! We were surprised but overjoyed at the thought of another blessing. In October we found out that we are having a little boy and again were surprised but so happy. I am due March 16 which is exactly 3 months before Elle's 2nd birthday. She is going to be the best big sister! Whenever I asked her where her baby brother is she pulls up my shirt and sticks her cute little finger in my belly button...well what's left of it. She even gives him kisses! We also have recently embarked on "soft-core" potty training in hopes to have Elle out of diapers by the time her brother arrives. Wish us luck! On a heavier note, my other aunt was in a terrible car accident a few weeks ago and is currently trying to recover and rehabilitate. It will be a long journey but we are hoping for the best. As you can see some terrible, and wonderful things have happened those year and we are confident 2011 will bring much joy. At least it will bring 3 wonderful babies as Casey, Lacy, and myself are all expecting...and about 7 weeks apart too! Well, I promise to TRY and blog once a week...no promises though! ;)
