Life.

Well, it's official. We are homeowners! We closed on our very first house together on November 19, 2009. It's the strangest feeling. We are working on getting everything together for us to move in! Sal (along with our wonderful helpers, THANKS!) has been working hard the last couple of days painting everything while I have been at work. We sort of under-anticipated the amount of paint that we would need...but that's okay I suppose...what can ya do? We got such a blessing at closing, money back actually! This could not have come a better time, because we were racking our brains trying to figure out how we would pay for school next semester. We have truly been blessed in all sorts of ways. Speaking of school, next semester I will be taking Intro to Nursing and Microbiology...I'm SO excited because I actually get to do a few clinicals this semester. Then...hopefully I will be accepted to Nursing school in August...hopefully?? As for this semester, it's almost over and I'm going to pass...YAY! Anatomy & Physiology II is a bitch! Elle is 5 months old now...oh how the time rushes on. She is AMAZING...she is trying her hardest to sit up, and just recently rolled over for the very first time :) She makes Mama so proud! I can't wait till we are settled into the house and everything is DONE. Sal has been working so hard; two jobs and working OT at home. He's a little cranky...but I understand. We couldn't do all of this without our awesome family and friends who donated their time (and a washer and dryer and fridge...Thanks Tennessee Gulizias!!) We couldn't do all of this without every one's help! We are taking family pics soon...and I will post pics as soon as I can. I can't wait...these are our first professional family pics! Ah...It's a Wonderful Life! Thanks for reading!!

I can't believe how big she is!

As of October 30, Elle weighs 13lbs 14oz and is 24 1/2 inches tall! I can't believe how big she is getting. She is changing by the second...She started solids on the 30th...Rice cereal with breastmilk...She loved it! Yesterday she had bananas for the first time and She like those too, but you should have seen her face. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I could ever love one person this much...and from the very moment I layed eyes on her. It's like everything she does is wonderful, and is just as it should be. I love everything she is and everything she isn't. She is perfect. She is definately gonna be Daddy's little girl. Every time she sees her daddy she gets the biggest smile on her face and it just melts his heart. I can already tell, whatever she wants, shes gonna get! Tonight is the first night that I have put her in her own room. I'm really nervous and I can tell you that if I had it my way, she would be sleeping in my room forever! It's really hard, but so far she is in there sleeping peacfullly.

The house is almost done! A couple more weeks give or take. We are so exctied! All we have left to do is a walk-through and close! We still need to buy living room furniture and a fridge, but other than that everything is taken care of!!

School is still going exceptionally well. The only thing I worry about is how I'm going to pay for next semester. I do not want to have to miss a semester because I can't afford it. I would be crushed! Pray that it works out for me!!

Time Flies...

Oh my goodness! Time has been going by so FAST! Elle is 3 1/2 months old and Sal just turned 24 yesterday! I can't believe it! I am so amazed by my baby. Everyday she is discovering something new and amazing Sal and I. She just discovered her feet which I am so proud of lol. All of sudden she has become so interested in her toys and what is going on around her. She loves her pink breast cancer poodle and her rattles and Mickey Mouse has become a fav too! Every time she sees Sal or I she gets the biggest smile on her face and it just melts my heart! Her next Doctor appointment isn't until October 30, but I'm so anxious to see how much she has grown; it seems like every other second she doubles in size! As for the house, we went by yesterday and they had the roof on. All they have left to do on it is the shingles, then they will start working hard on the inside. I can't believe how fast they are building this thing; they're really working hard! School is still going well...pray for me that it continues that way...That's all for today. More to come...

Update...

Elle

Elle is 3 months old today, I can't believe it! She is growing and growing and is the sweetest baby ever! She recently has started sleeping for much longer stretches only waking up once to eat. She can go for about 7 hours now, which is great for sleep, but bad for the boobs...She is starting to take her bottle better when I go to work now, so that puts me at ease. She smiles at everything. She is just a truly happy baby!

The House

The house was started around the 7th and has made major progress! We went and checked on it on the 11th and they already started the foundation! There is a port-a-potty out front so that is a really good sign! LOL! We are going to check on it again on Friday, so I will post another update soon!

School

I took my first lab practical on blood and the lymphatic system and I got a 99%...I am so happy! I just had my first lecture exam on Monday and I am patiently waiting for my results! Wish me luck!

That's all for now. Sorry it was so boring!

Our Life So Far...

What have the Gulizias been up to??

So, here is an update on all that has been happening with the Gulizias.
Elle:
Elle was born on June 16, 2009 at 3:40am. She weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 20 inches long! That is honestly the single most defining moment in my life. I know that sounds cliche, but if your a Mama you know exactly what I'm talking about. Becoming a mother is something that I always knew I wanted to do, but didn't realize how much until it actually happened. Sal and I were overcome with joy, I can't remember my life before Elle. My Mama actually got to help deliver her and I wouldn't have it any other way. Elle is 2 1/2 months old now and as of the 19th of August she weighed 10lbs 15oz and was 21 inches long. She is growing and growing! She gives smiles now and is trying to giggle and roll over!

Us:
Sal and I had our one year wedding anniversary on July 12th. I can't believe that we have been married for a year and together for almost seven! Our love for each other is so much stronger now that we have Elle. She is the light of our lives. I get butterflies in my stomach when I see Sal with Elle. He is such a wonderful Father, and he adores his little girl. We both still work at Publix in the stores, but Sal will hopefully be going to the Bakery Warehouse soon and be making a little more money! That's always good, right? As for me; I am going to stay at the stores until I finish Nursing school, it's just easier that way. Hopefully I will be able to go part time next August when I start the Nursing Program. Right now I am in Anatomy and Physiology II, and Medical Terminology. So far they are going okay, but I'll tell ya more once I take my first tests, which is tomorrow by the way! I hate leaving Elle to go to school, but I just keep telling myself that this is what is best. Once I am done, our lives will be sooo much better. I cannot wait to be a nurse!

Our House:
Our house is slated to start building on September 7th. I can't wait! We have come a long way to be able to buy a house and we are so excited to move in! We are so thankful that my parents have let us live with them for so long, but its time we got our own place. I have to admit that I love having my mom around to help with Elle. I am always confident that she will know the answers to my questions, whatever they may be. After all, she is the reason I want to be a nurse. Our house is going to be in Winter Haven, which isn't too bad. It's only about 10 minutes away from my work, and my parents house! People keep asking me; "why Winter Haven?". Uh because it's cheaper!! I hope to work at the Regency in Winter Haven one day, so its perfect! I'll post more later about the house once they start building!

Thanks for reading! I'm new to the blog world so I'm sorry if it was long and boring!
